BLOOP International Proactive Art Festival Ibiza presents: Gaucholadri
2014 Edition Festival Theme: THE BEST
The OperAir.Gallery is a long-term project to convert a city into a real gallery under the blues skies of Ibiza. It is currently one of the oldest activities in the programme. It came to life as an urban requalification program for a city to change its urban landscapes.
The project started off with a sole mural back in 2011 and gradually, but surely, more and more artists have been leaving their marks. Encouraging anybody who comes into the working radius of the mural "to think" and have their own take on a BLOOPs social themes, on which all pieces are based on.
The collection has been adding contributions from artists from around the world such as the likes of Interesni Kazki, Phlegm, Okuda, Inti, Ino, David de la Mano & Pablo S Herrero, B-Toy, Bisser, Cuellimangui, Spaik, Malarky, Sabotaje al Montaje, Skount, Fikos, Gaucholadri and over 20 artists.
The murals can be seen all year round without any admission fees as "ART IS FOR EVERYBODY".

Gaucholadri is an Argentine duo, Marcos Zerene and Federico Calandriawho won the BLOOP x GSA win a wall contest held in 2014. Their works are ironic, funny and sophisticated. The Gaucholadri project was inspired by a vision they had on the bus they took to Chile for live painting, whilst watching "Hatchiko, A Dog`s tale" They had an epileptic attck which lead them to Tokyo and saw two gauchos dancing Malambo in a transparent cube. Twirling his boleadores filled with fluorescent paint. Inextricable images that expressed the secrets of the universe were forming on the walls. When the Japanese applauded them, they woke up startled. They understood that they had a life mission: go to Japan and transform the world through magic.
They participated in BLOOP 2014.
